The Seattle New Media Web Development Team is responsible for Seattle New Media’s online presence for our company and for client projects, where selling products and services may be involved. This industry leading Web Development company has previously ranked in the top five local web site development firms in the region. We support millions of views every month and enable a crucial channel for Seattle New Media services.
We are seeking a Web Developer for the B2C development team. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our clients sites as we continue to innovate and drive more sales through various channels.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Development of code using PHP, CSS, JavaScript and relevant coding standards.
• Application design, resolving production issues if they arise.
• Excellent communication skills that can be used to effectively communicate technical concepts to business teams.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into software.
• Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, performance improvements, and better user experiences.
• Interact well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team in order to accomplish the business goal.
Required Skills:
• 3 + years of front end UI software development experience
• 2 + years of strong experience in PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, DHTML, XML, XSLT and basic UI - Technologies
• Understand SDLC processes and methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem solving, technical troubleshooting, and production diagnostic skills.
Position Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the Drupal platform.
• Coding for accessibility.
• Object oriented design experience.
• E-commerce application development experience.
• Experience with B2C projects/applications.
• Industry experience in Web services.
